Grayslake Educator Joins Realityworks’ RealCare Customer Advisory Council

Eau Claire, Wis. (February 1, 2016) –Grayslake Family and Consumer Sciences educator Melissa Priester has been awarded a seat on the RealCare Customer Advisory Council for Realityworks, an experiential learning company based in Eau Claire, WI. Having worked in the family and consumer sciences education field and with Realityworks’ flagship product, the RealCare Infant Simulator for the past 10 years, Melissa will be an asset to the council as it explores new innovations and outlines best practices with RealCare products.

Melissa’s passion and excitement for RealCare products is clear from her mentorship and training of two other educators on how to use RealCare Baby® infant simulators. Being a parent of three young children Melissa has been able to fully adapt her real-life experiences to her teachings and has seen first-hand that children learn best by doing. Her first responsibility as a council member will be attending the RealCare Customer Advisory Council meeting in the spring as a voice for her fellow educators and beta testing for future new products.

The RealCare Customer Advisory Council was established in 2012 to help Realityworks make its programs even more beneficial to the fields of career and technical education, family and consumer sciences, health and human services. The council gives passionate customers a voice in product development initiatives and the opportunity to provide valuable insight into best practices and marketing strategies for the program. It is comprised of leading educators in the areas of early childhood education, parenting skills, teen pregnancy prevention, healthy relationships and child care career skills. Members’ experience educating youth on these subjects is used to further guide and direct Realityworks’ product offerings.

"The RealCare Customer Advisory Council has assisted Realityworks in envisioning fresh, new features for our products," said Realityworks President and CEO Timmothy Boettcher. "Many of these ideas have become a reality as Baby has developed. We are always looking for new ways to make our products more effective for our users.”
